The Daisyworld is a simplified model to describe a coupling between biosphere and climate. In this model, daisies, having a temperature-dependent birth rate and determining the reflectivity of the planet through their colour, are symbols for living thermostats. This paper presents a model with mutations in colour of the existing species. The outcome is an even better regulation than without mutations.
