Cardiac tissue is functional syncytium composed of couples cells. thus cardiac tissue can be idealised as a spatially extended, bounded system, modeled by a network of coupled ordinary differential equation. The anatomical and histological structure of the heart together with the obvios anisotrpy propagation and known electrophysiology of cardiac cells make accurate modelling computationally prohibitive. However, simple idealization can provide biophysically realistic results. Here we reconstruct some tissue behaviours from model of cellular excitability.
